Founded in 1999 by Pietro Li Causi (guitars), Salvatore Sinatra (keyboards), and Abele Gallo (drums), il castello delle uova is a post-prog combo based in Marsala (TP - Italy).
The name "il castello delle uova" means "the castle of the eggs," a sort of oxymoron that recalls the idea of space, structure, power, and - together - frailty.
Their debut album of 2005 is "Appunti sonori per una cosmogonia caotica" ("Sonic Sketches for a Chaotic Cosmogony"), which gives sonic space to the words of a cosmi-comic poem (written by Li Causi), where the beginning of the world perpetually coincides with its end.
